The creative heart of the island.

Nestled in the centre of Oneroa, the Waiheke Community Art Gallery is a must-visit destination for lovers of contemporary New Zealand art. With a dynamic year-round programme, the gallery showcases a diverse range of exhibitions—from emerging local talent to nationally renowned artists—offering an inspiring window into Aotearoa’s creative culture.

As a champion of both Waiheke and national artists, the gallery curates works that surprise and delight, connecting community and creativity in equal measure.

The gallery is also the proud home of headland Sculpture on the Gulf—New Zealand’s premier biennial outdoor sculpture event. Held every two years, this spectacular summer exhibition transforms the coastal headlands into an open-air gallery of large-scale sculptural installations, drawing art lovers from across the country and beyond.
